Word Document Styling Lost When Uploaded to Ketty Platform

I tried uploading a Word document (.docx) with images, tables, and custom styling into the Ketty platform. Unfortunately, the following issues occurred after the upload:

  1. The background image in the document is missing.
  2. Table styling (borders, colors, etc.) is gone.
  3. All text formatting (e.g., fonts, colors, bold/italic) is lost.
  4. Icons embedded in the document were not saved or rendered.

I’ve checked my steps during the upload process, but I’m not sure if I made a mistake or if this is a limitation of the platform. Is there a way to maintain the original formatting? Are there any settings or upload options I should be using?

For reference, I’ve attached a screenshot of the original Word document and the resulting output on the Ketty editor.

Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @augu

Many of the limitations that you’re facing are limitations of the platform itself. Background images, text color, different fonts are not supported by the editor. Tables are in the roadmap so support for them will be available soon. Bold and italic styles should work fine though, I just tried it in our test instance and they are preserved, not sure why they got lost in your case.

Let me know if you need more clarifications!

Thank you for your response! We truly appreciate your clarification. Tables are a high priority for us, and it would be wonderful to know if there’s an ETA available for their support.

Additionally, we’d be more than happy to contribute in any way to this feature’s development. For our use case, it’s also important that tables can be imported when uploading a DOCX file.

Looking forward to your updates, and thanks again for your support!
